The Oral Health Services Tasmania clinical team works within communities, providing treatment and promoting oral health and general wellbeing around Tasmania. The Service offers differing work environments including clinics, hospitals and laboratories, various community locations and mobile dental units.

Oral Health Services Tasmania has modern surgery equipment and materials, and encourages contemporary minimally invasive dentistry. Learning and professional development are important to the Service and staff development programs, in-service training and participation in research projects are actively encouraged.

Oral Health Services Tasmania has an extensive dental undergraduate student placement program in conjunction with several Australian universities.  The Service also currently takes part in the Voluntary Dental Graduate Year Program and the Oral Health Therapist Graduate Year Program.

Our clinical team is made up of dentists, oral health therapists, dental therapists, dental prosthetists, dental technicians, dental assistants, customer service officers and service technicians, and is supported by a strong Safety and Quality Unit.

Non-clinical support functions include project development, facilities management, information technology, policy development and business and service development.

Oral Health Services Tasmania is a State-wide service, allowing staff collaborative experiences with their colleagues across Tasmania. Working in a friendly environment, staff are supported to maintain and progress a broad range of clinical skills, in one of Australia's most desirable and liveable locations  – from busy urban clinics to flying to some of our remote island communities – there is something to suit everyone.
