A variety of service delivery options are available depending on funding and client need. Centre based or home activities, individual or group activities.

St Michaels Association offers residential and training services for people with intellectual and learning difficulties.

Residential services include:

Day support and hostel services are available during school terms, other residential services and vocational training are generally year-round.

Service Eligibility

This service is available to adults and children with intellectual disabilities, cognitive/sensory loss, dual diagnosis and learning difficulties and students attending special education programs in the Launceston area.

Referral from Disability Servcies Program (DHHS) is required for access to group homes and Community Outreach Program only.

Cost Information

Fees apply to training services.
Board and rent apply to hostel accomodation, and to independant living units.

More Information

St Michaels Association owns, manages and conducts services from their own campus at 22 Hoblers Bridge, Newstead, as well as from other sites in Launceston.

Visitors are welcome, please call beforehand to arrange a tour.

The Association operates the horticulture enterprise 'Plantskills' which provides fee-for-service gardening services to the public, and opportunities for work experience and training for people with learning difficulties. For more information contact the Enterprise Manager
